- TRAVEL SAFELY.! TRAVEL SMART!
- Know something about your destination BEFORE you venture out. What documents do you need to have with you? Is it raining? Is it cold? Not having these could make for a miserable adventure!
- Keep you valuables at your hotels, cabin on ship, etc., in a safe place. There is usuall;y a safe to keep valuables in. If there is, USE IT!
- If you are on a cruise, know what time to be back on the ship!
- Smart to bring a Raincoat and/or Umbrella! They really come in handy & not always available to purchase!
- Keep your money & credentials safely OUT OF SIGHT!
- ALWAYS be AWARE of your SURROUNDINGS! Can't say this one enough!
- Pick Pocketers are ALWAYS THERE, , ESPECIALLY in CROWDED PLACES!
- Try to BLEND IN, standing out isn't always good!
- BE CAREFUL wearing that favorite, expensive Ring, Watch or NECKLACE . DON'T BE A TARGET!
- Make sure you are Dressed to fit into the places you are VISITING. Many places have RESTRICTIONS/GUIDELINES. & you don't want to miss visiting it if you are DRESSED INAPPROPRIATELY! i.e., Shorts or Tank tops in a Church.
- If you are visiting a FOREIGN COUNTRY, ABIDE BY THEIR LAWS!.
- ALWAYS have IDENTIFICATION ON YOU.
- ALWAYS know the Address, Phone Number of WHERE YOU ARE STAYING!
- Be Careful buying items from Street Vendors! as they are probably knockoffs! (which is OK if you know that)
- Pepper Spray is NOT LEGAL TO CARRY! Hairspray is...
- IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE LANGUAGE & ARE TRYING TO COMMUNICATE & CAN'T, "SMIILE" & TRY TO COMMUNICATE A DIFFERNT WAY! If that doesn't work, SMILE, then WALK AWAY!
